Add Section Break
Position the toothpick cursor where you want the new section to start.
Add section break. Do one of the following. Click or tap the page at the beginning of a section. Choose the type of section break you want.
To continue the page numbering. Go to insert break then choose the specific type of page break or section break you want to insert. The image above shows how to insert section break in word.
If the hidden characters are still displaying from the previous exercise click the show hide button on the home tab or press ctrl shift 8 to turn them off. Insert a section break click where you want a new section to begin. How to insert a section break in word click the page layout tab.
Click the layout tab on the ribbon. If you want to add a page break click. Select the type of section break you want to use.
To start a new section in your document heed these steps. Right click a page in a section and then select page numbers format page numbers. To insert a page or section break place the cursor where you want one section page to end and the next section page to begin.
Click the mouse where you need to begin a new. Next page section break starts the new section on the following page. Choose view draft to switch to draft view so you can see the break.
