Section View Construction
It is best to use the symbol for the material being shown as a section on a sketch.
Section view construction. The detail section is utilized to view an accurate depiction of the internal contents. To produce a sectional view a cutting plane is imagined cutting through the part as shown in fig. A section view is a view used on a drawing to show an area or hidden part of an object by cutting away or removing some of that object.
The section line can also include concentric arcs. This sectional view replaces the right side view. You create a section view in a drawing by cutting the parent view with a cutting or section line.

Since they are used to set off a section they must be drawn with care. The cut line is called a cutting plane and can be done in several ways. A plan view is as though you were above the floor looking down.
For buildings this can be useful as it gives a view through the spaces and surrounding structures typically across a vertical plane that can reveal the relationships between the different parts of the buildings that might not be apparent on plan drawings. Section drawings are created to view a specific section on the building. Picture the two halves of the object pulled apart exposing the interior construction as shown in fig.
The plan view will establish the layout of the walls doors windows etc. When sketching an object or part that requires a sectional view they are drawn by eye at an angle of approximately 45 degrees and are spaced about 1 8 apart. The second section of the title block contains routine information.
